Just a quick update for you, and some information about rewards. Thanks again for supporting us.

BLACK FRIDAY TWIN CAMPAIGN

It’s been an unusually tough year, with e-Commerce being down 20% on average in the UK. Since launching our Crowdcube campaign, online consumer spending has dropped more than we could have imagined. We have had to pivot and already have two projects underway already to combat the effects of the recession and cost of living crisis. In the New Year, we will update you in more detail regarding both our performance and plans.

The first project is our Twin Black Friday Campaign. We currently have 20% off our core range of kitchen knives. If you have an investor discount, unfortunately this does not apply to sale items. The twin campaign allows us to reach many new customers whilst at the same time supporting FareShare as we have for the last three years.

HIGONOKAMI PUSH

The second project is a huge increase in our promotion of Higonokami folding pocket knives. These are at a price point that more people can reach than our kitchen knives and we are now selling 4X more. This is also working well. However, for those of you to whom we promised a Higonokami as an investor reward, this will now be delayed until the start of next year. Our packing team is swamped with orders (which is good!). If you are disappointed and really wanted your Higonokami before Christmas, please email customerservices@togknives.com and we’ll prioritse it for you, no problem.

ONLINE SHARPENING CLASSES

If you are owed a sharpening class I’m afraid these are also delayed until the new year as we are so busy with everything that’s going on. Please await further instructions. If you can’t wait to get sharpening, please visit our online resources.

KITCHEN AXE FIRST ACCESS

Good news is that we’ve got a prototype kitchen axe! In fact, we have two. This new product is being completely hand made by the awesome Alex Pole in Somerset. With outdoor cooking in mind, it’s designed for meat preparation and making fires. Its design takes the best of European and Japanese axe history and combines it. As an investor, we’d like to give you first access to pre-order one of the first batch of these beauties which won’t be shipped until Feb or March (that’s the bad news). We’ll be in touch again with a link when these are available to pre-order.

UPCOMING PRODUCT DROPS
